It is time to stop talking about women because the ones who have been liberated in the west do not wear dresses. If there is anyone who has won points from the women’s liberation movements, it certainly has got to be men. At every turn he leaps ahead, is promoted, is listened to in the workplace, and is catered to inside and outside of marriage, not only by the legal Justice System and Government politics, but also by the women of society.
Feminists try to copy him, and this must make him feel even more superior. He has enjoyed up until now the best of both the worlds. Certainly, the western lives in a “man’s world” that has been described by some as a paradise for men.
That’s true…copying men and trying to be like men can never lead to liberation or upliftment of women….

Yes, and if we notice the comment “be like a man” that is said to belittle women and slyly tell them to behave like men the hidden message comes quite clear.
We women need to embrace our women power with dignity, fire and determination and stop copying men.
Also I notice, when women ask for their rightful place, position or right they are told off that they are anti men feminists, that too has to stop. Asking for my right should not be a cause to troll me, thanks to Imran for this profound post coinciding with 8 march celebrations.

Great point! Women copying men is not a basis for equality. Recognizing unique differences and honouring them equally is a better yardstick.

Very rightly said. Women in today’s times are being brainwashed to believe in the false image of freedom and equality. One surely doesn’t need to be scantily dressed to show that she’s a strong woman.
Sometimes I feel, we have stepped back into the Jahilliya period, the pre-Islamic times, when females were buried alive, and when women were treated as property.
Gradually the conditions improved. But now seems like we are stepping back into that era again.
It surely makes no difference in celebrating the day as Women’s Day, if tomorrow there is no change in her situations or conditions. Nothing but, hypocrisy!
Thanks for sharing such an amazing write up. 🙂

Sadly its women who are responsible for that thing, women brain wash other women into following the usual patriarchal nonsense so why cry later when men get all the allowances. I say this, because in my family I saw an example after sisters got married, next thing they were advocating just marriage and babies to rest of unmarried girls – it reached to a level that these married ladies decided to forcefully make unmarried ones agree to non compatible marriage proposals and the 24/7 barrage of “you are getting old, no one will marry you and you won’t be able to have kids” – I mean did any one of them stop for a second to think that possibly other sisters/ girls are not really in mood for marriage and kids? NO, because they did it so rest have to follow like dumb flock. Off course when women behave this badly towards other women – men have all the floor to gain more and more power and live in paradise!!!

That’s the saddest part of the story. Women do act like this, and it annoys limitlessly. Well, I’d differ on this, though marriage is a Sunnah, it is treated as though a Fardh. And upon that, making it such a tedious task with the systems prevailing. Icing on the cake is the opinions, getting old, not many proposals will come, should not be much educated, must not talk much, don’t have own opinion, etc etc. This wasn’t given by Islam, this is a traditional, cultural issue. Fact is Muslim women suffer as much as the other women, when it comes to this disparity.
About this strange opinion which you told about your family, I’d count myself as one who went against this. I was the one who (though I had to rebel within the house to study till my graduation, my husband readily agreed for my further studies, Alhamdulillah) convinced my parents to allow my sister to complete her Masters.
I wasn’t let, but I was adamant to allow her to have some life, ’cause agree or not after marriage, life takes a total turn!
I wish I could understand what makes women think like that, and what makes them thrust their opinion and thoughts on others. Sadly, we fall helpless!

he smart Muslim woman is one who strikes a balance between her external appearance and internal nature. She understands that she is composed of a body, a mind and a soul, and gives each the attention it deserves, without exaggerating in one aspect to the detriment of others. In seeking to strike the right balance, she is following the wise guidance of Islam which encourages her to do so.

That is simply common sense and also logical which makes it more lovelier because of this phenomenon link to Islam.
Those who do try getting the right balance, under guidance of Islam are heavily discouraged by petty closed brained people who act like they are keepers of Islam without knowing what is real Islam.

I am completely on page with you for this comment my friend…one of my friend is a living example of this…she got married soon and now she don’t have anything else to talk but marriage and kids…She keeps on encouraging other girls to get married although her life sucks and she knows that….It feels so disturbing and embarrassing… when you are facing such ppl around you….The sad part is women’s are not ready to accept the progress of other women’s….Even the educated one’s are in the same line…😢😢

My marital status is not the issue and I won’t be discussing it, the thing is the mentality of women always plotting against other women that I find awful and horrible. I also know that most women are very mean and petty, when they resort to that sort of nonsense because they aren’t happy in their marriages with responsibilities and what not and want other girls to have same crappy faith. The men is my life are awesome because they support my balance between family and my career and that too is unbearable by most women – who seek to try brain wash them to try stopping their support. I ask these women, what I did to you to deserve this? Some do answer saying we are jealous of your life and the good men in your life. Disturbing and embarrassing… and you are right when you say women cannot accept the progress of other women – its like a reminder of their own failures and for that alone I am not much a fan of our our usual cultures problems.

“The number of intermediate varieties which have formerly existed on earth must be truly enormous. Why then is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory.” – Charles Darwin 1902 edition.
“…I am quite conscious that my speculations run beyond the bounds of true science….It is a mere rag of an hypothesis with as many flaw[s] & holes as sound parts.” Charles Darwin to Asa Gray, cited by Adrian Desmond and James Moore, Darwin, (New York: W.W. Norton and Company, 1991) pp. 456, 475.
“Nowhere was Darwin able to point to one bona fide case of natural selection having actually generated evolutionary change in nature….Ultimately, the Darwinian theory of evolution is no more nor less than the great cosmogenic myth of the twentieth century.”Michael Denton, Evolution: A Theory in Crises (Bethesda, Maryland: Adler & Adler, 1986) pp. 62, 358.
“I believe that one day the Darwinian myth will be ranked the greatest deceit in the history of science.” Søren Løvtrup,Darwinism: The Refutation of a Myth (New York: Croom Helm, 1987), p. 422.
“Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact.” Dr. T. N. Tahmisian Evolution and the Emperor’s New Clothes by N.J. Mitchell (United Kingdom: Roydon Publications, 1983), title page.
“The Darwinian theory of descent has not a single fact to confirm it in the realm of nature. It is not the result of scientific research, but purely the product of imagination.” Albert Fleischmann. Witnesses Against Evolution by John Fred Meldau (Denver: Christian Victory Publishing, 1968), p. 13.
“[T]he theory suffers from grave defects, which are becoming more and more apparent as time advances. It can no longer square with practical scientific knowledge, nor does it suffice for our theoretical grasp of the facts…No one can demonstrate that the limits of a species have ever been passed. These are the Rubicons which evolutionists cannot cross…Darwin ransacked other spheres of practical research work for ideas…But his whole resulting scheme remains, to this day, foreign to scientifically established zoology, since actual changes of species by such means are still unknown.” Albert Fleischmann, “The Doctrine of Organic Evolution in the Light of Modern Research,” Journal of the Transactions of the Victoria Institute 65 (1933): pp. 194-95, 205-6, 208-9.

I’m going to copy some of these quotes as relevant to my own “research” into the concept of evolution. I’ve always maintained that the theory of evolution was cobbled together from evidence of adaptation, primarily, and from ignorance of pre-recorded history. Any reasonably intelligent person looking at man as a species can readily see that mankind is not a naturally occurring species. It does not behave in a natural way; it is an artificial life-form. By that I mean it was “invented” and did not develop naturally. A naturally developed creature would not destroy its living space and would not yearn to live in artificial surroundings like cities. It would live in nature. That is why it has so many environmental and social problems; why it can’t balance its rate of reproduction to match the size and resources of its planet; why it is facing extinction as a failed race.

Great post..why most of us even after realizing the status of women in West and how they are used and ridiculed still get our inspiration from West? Why we want to have an indentity of our own, earn income of our own and be labelled as a sex.symbol too.it’s quite evident that we look up to those women and no wonder our society is getting more westernized instead of Islamized.

It’s true in some ways, but you overlook the work that feminism has achieved so far. Yes, there is a long way to go, and there are some feminists who do emulate men. But a lot of that emulation stems from wanting equal rights, having failed in the past in reaching equity because people in general understand others’ POVs if they are able to place themselves in their shoes. And lets face it, men in power can be domineering narcissists with thick blind folds.
